This Mother's Day birthed an epiphany: I've had the Molly T. origin story wrong this whole time.
You see, I came up with the idea during my college soccer days, fed up and frustrated with having to layer-up bras before hitting the field.
But while I always intended to help women well beyond my fellow female athletes, a surprising fanbase quickly emerged after launch: new and expecting moms.
“Thank you for designing a bra that changes with fluctuating breasts”-type messages started to trickle in and realizing how helpful my design is and could be to the women who deserve all the support in the world, something clicked.
Molly T. has more in common with (and reason to thank) moms than I ever imagined.
Thanks to the outpouring of love, support, and praise from the moms who #wearmollyt, I’ve come to understand that though it was very much designed with athletes in mind, my “one bra to rule them all"-mother of all bras concept was really about moms all along.
Plus, I’d be remiss not to mention that if it weren’t for my mother giving me such confidence, support, and boundless love, I -- a woman with zero background in fashion -- would not have been crazy enough to bring Molly T. into this world.
That’s why this T. Time is dedicated to all the mothers, moms-to-be, and women the world over who support their loved ones through it all, no matter what.
Love,
Molly T.
